Somnara is built by Digital Prodigy LLC. This policy explains what happens to your information when you use the app. The short version: your dream journal stays on your device, we have no servers, and we never see your dreams.
Somnara has no user accounts, no registration and no login. We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, location or any identifier that could be used to contact or track you. We operate no servers and hold no database of users.
Every dream you record, along with its interpretation, symbols, emotions and dates, is stored locally on your iPhone using Apple's on-device storage. This data is never uploaded to us and is not backed up to any server we control. If you delete the app, that data is deleted with it. You can also erase everything at any time from Settings.
To interpret a dream, the app sends the text of that single dream to the Anthropic API, which runs the AI model that produces the interpretation. This is the only situation in which information leaves your device, and it happens only when an interpretation is requested.
Anthropic processes this text as our service provider in order to generate the interpretation. Their handling of API data is described in their privacy policy.
If you choose to record a dream by speaking, the app uses Apple's speech recognition to turn your voice into text. Depending on your device and settings, Apple may process this recognition on device or on Apple's servers, as described in Apple's own privacy documentation. We do not receive or store any audio, and the recording is not kept after transcription.
Somnara Pro is an auto-renewing subscription sold through the App Store. Apple handles the entire purchase and processes your payment. We never see your payment details. We receive only anonymous, aggregate sales reports from Apple, which cannot identify individual users.
Somnara contains no analytics SDKs, no advertising, no tracking pixels and no third-party trackers of any kind. We do not track you across apps or websites.
Somnara is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Because we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing for us to retrieve, correct or delete on your behalf. You have full and direct control of your journal: you can export it or erase it entirely from within the app at any time.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published on this page with a new date.
